Top 10 Players to Watch

Third-year WR Stephen Hill showed some positives during the first week of camp, using his speed and 6'3" frame to create space from defenders. 

LB Demario Davis, one of the vocal leaders of the team, has been putting in solo work with coaches on the sidelines at the beginning of practice. Head coach Rex Ryan said he was one of the hardest workers in the NFL. 

Rookie TE Jace Amaro tweaked his knee on Sunday, but he and head coach Rex Ryan said that he should be good to go for practice on Tuesday. Amaro, a big red-zone threat, has worked on his run blocking during the offseason.

The New York Jets' newest signing, LB Jason Babin, saw some playing time with the first team this week. With a few more days of learning the defensive playbook, he could become more effective in practice. 

G Willie Colon was taken off the Active/PUP List and participated in positional drills on Sunday. He said he expects to see more reps as the week progresses. 

QB Michael Vick hasn't lost a step, evidenced by his performance on the field. He connected with WR Clyde Gates for a long touchdown and has also made plays with his legs. As camp progresses, he'll look to build on what has been a solid first week of practice. 

Jason Babin's arrival has pushed LB Quinton Coples to new heights, according to head coach Rex Ryan. "[His] play has been off the chart these last couple of days and I think that's good," he said. "That's a great example of how guys push each other. You bring a guy in and maybe you're taking some reps or whatever it is, shoot, guys step up or do they go the other direction. And [Coples] is certainly stepping up." 

Free agent signing Dimitri Patterson has played well so far during camp. The cornerback almost had an interception in team drills after undercutting WR Eric Decker. As he continues to learn the defense, he's primed to have a solid camp. 

S Rontez Miles has definitely been flying under the radar through camp, as he's made a bit of an impact on defense and on special teams. Head coach Rex Ryan said he's loved the effort of Miles and LB Troy Davis. As camp continues, it will be interesting to see if Miles can gain ground. 

A 2014 fourth-round draft choice, WR Shaq Evans has all the tools to be a vertical threat at wide receiver and has shown flashes of his talent during the first week. The rookie dropped some balls, but has also been able to make some great plays, like a touchdown catch from fellow rookie QB Tajh Boyd.
