Jets Look to Finish Preseason with a 3-1 Record
Coach Bowles said earlier this week he has around 40 or so players slotted into the 53-man roster. So that means there are roster spots still at stake.
After signing with the Jets on August 19th, Matt Flynn will see his first preseason action for the Green and White.
Quarterback Matt Flynn is very familiar with the atmosphere in the final preseason game, and let's just say, he enjoys it. "It always seems that the fourth preseason game is the most fun just because it's a lot of guys fighting for their lives out there."
"It's going to be tough because they have to play special teams, as well as play their position," said head coach Todd Bowles. "So there's going to be a lot of heavy breathing going on, but you have to focus in on your assignment and you've got to understand that if starters get hurt and you make this team, you're going to have to play. I want to see if these guys can play then you know what you're getting when they make the team."
