Biography
CHRIS PIERCE, now in his 22nd year with the organization, begins his fourth as vice president, fan commerce. He is responsible for all retail ventures including the Jets Shop e-commerce business, Jets Shop at MetLife Stadium, Jets Shop at Training Camp and Jets Shop Special Events. Pierce is an appointed member to the NFL Consumer Products Advisory Board, which sets direction and develops new NFL Consumer Products.
Additionally, Pierce manages the food and beverage program at MetLife Stadium with Stadium Concessionaire Delaware North, for all areas of the stadium – suites, clubs, general admission and plazas. Pierce has helped introduce new concepts, making the experience authentically New York/New Jersey. He works to deliver a world class dining experience at MetLife Stadium, refining the menus based upon fan feedback, food trends and fan demand.
Pierce, nicknamed "The Mayor of the Meadowlands" by Ambassador Johnson, oversees the Green Team, part of the Jets Fan First experience to deliver value and improve the fan experience on game days. The Green Team observes, analyzes and recommends ways to improve every aspect of the fan experience.
Pierce is one of the members of the Jets Legends Community Program. In this role, he manages relationships with Jets alumni, influences initiatives and helps support building an active network of alumni in the community.
Prior to joining the Jets, Pierce has held various director and merchant positions with Lord & Taylor, Joe Boxer, Diesel and J. Crew. He completed his Undergraduate education with a bachelor's degree in organizational and interpersonal communication and minored in business administration and sociology at the State University of New York at Albany. Pierce was honored by his alma mater with an induction into the School of Communication's Hall of Fame and delivered the school's commencement address (May 2009). He also earned a master's degree in Sport Business from Temple University.
Additionally, he is an adjunct instructor at New York University's School of Professional Studies, Preston Robert Tisch Institute for Global Sport. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate students.
He is a volunteer member of the Union County Medical Reserve Corps, assisting the community in any regional emergencies. He is an avid traveler having visited five out of seven continents, aspires to play the top 100 golf courses in the world and is a fan of many genres of music. Pierce and his family reside in New Jersey.
