Biography
ERIC ALLEN begins his 24th season with the Jets and second season as vice president, news strategy. Allen, a longtime senior reporter, manages the Jets reporting and broadcasting teams.
He is the host of the Official Jets Podcast and Jets Gameday with Robert Saleh, which airs Sundays during the season on CBS New York. Allen hosts and produces the team's live gameday programs, Pregame Central and Jets Overtime. Throughout the offseason, Jets Overtime also airs on CBS New York, as well as the team's website and YouTube platforms.
Under the One Jets Drive Entertainment umbrella, Allen oversees a group that covers the Jets year-round. Emanating from the Jets' state-of-the-art Audi Performance Studio, the broadcasting unit generates studio broadcast shows, podcasts, live offerings, episodic series and over-the-shoulder programming. In addition to collaborating with the Jets production staff, Allen works with a talent roster comprised of former players and reporters who make impactful connections with the team's audiences.
Also serving as executive editor of the editorial department, Allen oversees the Jets written content on the team's website, NewYorkJets.com, in addition to the Yearbook.

Prior to joining the Jets, Allen worked with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers public relations department during the 2000 season before serving in similar capacity for the Jets in 2001. In 2018, Allen taught a digital sports media and marketing course at New York University. A native of Buffalo, NY, Allen holds a master's degree of mass communication from the University of Florida (2005) and freelanced at both The Gainesville Sun and Gator Bait Magazine while in Gainesville. He earned a bachelor's degree of science from the University of Maryland in 1998 and suited up in goal for the Terrapins' club hockey team. He resides in New Jersey with his family.
