Biography
JOHN MacCARTER is in his 15th year with the New York Jets and fifth as vice president, finance & analytics. Previously, he served as senior director, finance for three years, joining the organization as manager, finance in 2010.
In his current role, MacCarter is responsible for general financial planning and analysis and oversees the Jets Business Intelligence and Analytics function, providing the organization with data-driven insights to inform and improve key business decisions and results. He is also responsible for the Jets Strategy function, including annual business planning, industry research and the Jets' Internationalization efforts in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Prior to joining the Jets, MacCarter worked in finance for Manhattan-based video game maker Take-Two Interactive. He also worked in national broadcast sales at CBS Television and was a media buyer at Universal McCann.
MacCarter earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, where he majored in history. He earned his MBA from NYU Stern with concentrations in finance and entertainment, media & technology. He grew up in Denver, CO, and currently resides in New Jersey with his wife and two children.
