The Jets' starting offensive line from the end of the season remains mostly intact heading into free agency, but the team could still add depth even if it signs or drafts a potential starter.
Morgan Moses, the only starter with an expiring contract, started 14 games for the Green & White at right tackle in the 2024 season. Left tackle Tyron Smith, who was brought in last offseason, is also set to become a free agent next week when the new league year begins March 12 at 4 p.m. EDT. Smith protected the blindside for 10 games before he was placed on injured reserve and passed the torch on to Olu Fashanu, drafted No. 11 overall in 2024.
The tackle market has many options for the Jets as a potential starter or a reserve.
Cam Robinson (Vikings)
Robinson began last season with the Jaguars before a midseason trade with the Vikings where he played in 10 games. A second-round pick in 2017, Robinson has a lot of experience. He's started in all 101 games he's played in and spent seven seasons with the Jaguars before he was shipped to Minnesota. Other than 2 snaps at left guard, the Alabama product has solely played left tackle.
Patrick Mekari (Ravens)
A true Swiss-Army Knife, Mekari has experience at all five positions up front. He took 1,131 snaps in the 2024 season -- 6 at center, 955 at left guard, 1 at left tackle and 169 at right guard. An undrafted free agent in 2019 out of Cal, the 6-4, 305-pound Mekari predominantly played right tackle for Baltimore in 2021 (12 starts) and left tackle in 2022 (4 starts).
Morgan Moses (Jets)
Moses, who played well at 33 years old, is also a leader who is well-respected in the locker room. Continuity at any position, especially offensive line, is key and re-signing Moses would bring that to a room that played well down the stretch of last season. Moses started 14 games and took 722 snaps on offense.
Jedrick Wills (Browns)
Wills, the No. 10 pick out of Alabama in 2020, played in five games in the 2024 season and started in four. The 6-4, 307-pounder predominantly played left tackle for the Browns after he anchored the right side for the Crimson Tide. If he were to sign with the Jets, he could serve as the team's starting right tackle or a reserve swingman with 57 starts in 58 games under his belt over five seasons.
Joe Noteboom (Rams)
Noteboom, a third-round pick of the Rams in 2018 out of TCU, is a versatile player with starting experience. The 6-5, 321-pounder has started in 35 of the 71 games he's played in and has lined up at left and right tackle. He took 220 snaps this past season for Los Angeles with 93 coming at LT and 127 at RT. Noteboom's season with the most starts was in 2020 with 9. He has also played guard.
Matt Peart (Broncos)
Peart has dealt with injuries most of his career including a torn ACL in the 2021 season that caused him to miss the first two months of the following season. He also missed two months of the '23 season with a shoulder injury. A third-round pick of the Giants in 2020, Peart spent last season with the Broncos and overlapped with new Jets GM Darren Mougey. Peart, who went to UConn, has taken snaps at left and right tackle in each of his five pro seasons.
