2024 Jets Mock Drafts

Mock Draft: Jets Trade Up for Which Offensive Lineman?

Round 1, Pick 7 (via CAR): Louisville T Mekhi Becton
The Jets need to help their young quarterback and upgrade three or four spots on the offensive line this offseason. Could they sit at No. 11 overall and hope a tackle falls to them? Sure, there is a decent chance one of the projected top-four tackles (Wills, Becton, Tristan Wirfs, Andrew Thomas) will be there. However, if the Jets have a clear top grade on one of the tackles, it makes sense to go and get him. And Becton, with his rare size, strength and movements, might be that guy.

***In this projected trade, Jets would receive the Panthers' 2020 first-round pick (No. 7 overall) and 2020 fifth-round pick. Carolina would receive the Jets' 2020 first-round pick (No. 11) and their two third-round picks (No. 68 and No. 79).***

Round 1, Pick 11: LSU EDGE K'Lavon Chaisson
Chaisson has nice bend and length off the edge, something the Jets really need. He's no wallflower against the run, either, having gained significant strength over the past couple of seasons.

Round 2, Pick 48: LSU WR Justin Jefferson
Round 3, Pick 68: Notre Dame CB Troy Pride Jr.
Round 3, Pick 79: San Diego State C Keith Ismael
