After the Jets completed their final full practice before departing for Buffalo, interim Jets HC Jeff Ulbrich provided injury updates on CB Sauce Gardner (hamstring), WR Davante Adams (hip) and DT Quinnen Williams (hamstring) heading into Sunday's matchup against the Bills.

Gardner was injured in the Jets' Week 12 loss to Seattle and missed one game before returning against Jacksonville in Week 15. Adams was injured early in last week's matchup with the Rams but still finished with 5 receptions for 59 yards and a TD. After not practicing Wednesday and Thursday, both were limited participants on Friday.

"If there is anyone that would push to play with an injury it would be Sauce," Ulbrich said. "Davante went out there, as well as Sauce, in a limited fashion and I thought he looked good."

Williams missed last week's game versus the Rams and has been limited this week. All three players will be questionable for Sunday.

"Quinnen is in a similar boat to Davante and Sauce," Ulbrich said. "If he can play, he will play. He went out there for the time and really gave it a try. We will collect as much information as we can and decide ahead of the game."

Greg Zuerlein Returns
Jets K Greg Zuerlein returned to practice from injured reserve Tuesday and Ulbrich announced Friday that he would be the team's kicker "going forward." The Jets have used 3 different kickers – Spencer Shrader (1 start), Riley Patterson (1) and Anders Carlson (5) – over the past seven games since Zuerlein's knee injury.

"[Zuerlein] would say his performance earlier this season wasn't good enough and wasn't to his standard by any means," Ulbrich said. "Which makes this a great opportunity for him to come back these last two games and kick to his standard and do his thing."

Zuerlein has been on IR since Week 8 with a knee injury. The veteran has kicked in 8 games and made 60% of his field-goal attempts (9 of 15) and 93% of extra points (13 -of- 14). Last season, he appeared in 16 games, making 92.1% of his field-goal attempts (35 of 38) while converting on 5-of-6 kicks from 50-plus yards.

Aaron Rodgers' Unsung Hero
On Tuesday, the Jets signed S Jarius Monroe to the active roster. He received a shoutout from Aaron Rodgers during the future Hall of Fame signal caller's media availability the same day.

"I want to finish today with a specific shoutout for a guy who does it right all the time, not just some of the time, all the time, and that's Jarius Monroe," Rodgers said. "He's a phenomenal young player. He does it right all the time."

Monroe, a UDFA out from Tulane, converted from corner to safety while in college and has appeared in three games (Wks. 8, 9 and 16) this season. He and Rodgers developed a bond in practice as Monroe has played a key role on the P-squad, giving the starting offense the best look possible ahead of the next game.

"We started to bond early on in maybe Weeks 1 and 2," Monroe said. "And he is so competitive. that we just had a great relationship and really brought out the best in each other. He's probably won most of reps in practice, but the ones I have won, I've let him know. So, just having a guy like that, just a great Hall of Fame quarterback, great player, great human, talking to you and actually giving you advice, it means a lot."

Milestones to Keep an Eye On
Jets wideouts Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams and QB Aaron Rodgers could all reach milestones Sunday against the Bills. With 1 touchdown pass, Rodgers will become the second-fastest QB (after Peyton Manning) and fifth player in NFL history to reach 500 TD passes. Adams caught Rodgers 200th and 400th TD throws and would love to help his friend and QB with another major achievement.

"It would be dope to get number 500," Adams said. "His 200th was my first, so we have had some special connections in the past. It would be great for him and a big thing, not that he needs more accolades, but you might as well keep racking them up while you can."

Both Adams (928) and Wilson (987) are closing in on 1,000 receiving yards. It would be the fifth straight season for Adams with 1K-plus and his sixth overall, putting him among 33 players to achieve that feat. With 13 yards, Wilson will become just the fifth receiver to begin a career with three seasons of 80-plus receptions and 1,000-plus receiving yards.
