Springsteen 'Wrecking Ball Tour': 3 Shows at MetLife Stadium

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will return to the MetLife Sports Complex for shows on Wednesday, Sept. 19, Friday, Sept. 21, and Saturday, Sept. 22, it was announced today.

Springsteen and the E Street Band's 2012 "Wrecking Ball" World Tour will continue in the United States and Canada with new dates in late summer beginning Aug. 18.

The Wrecking Ball tour has special significance to the area and the stadium. The song "Wrecking Ball" was written in 2009, just before the E Street Band played a series of shows at the old Meadowlands stadium, which was in its final year. Springsteen and the band "closed" that stadium and played its final concert on Oct. 10, 2009.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, April 20, at 10 a.m. Limit is 4 tickets for general admission and floor seats and 10 for reserved seating per show.
