Hey, Jets Fans! It's Flight Crew Cheerleader Brittany.
This week I wanted to share with you a special event that we were all able to take part in. For those of you that were at the Colts game on Oct. 14, you probably saw a group of 29 beautiful women roaming MetLife Stadium. We were able to have our first-ever Flight Crew Alumni Weekend, and it was a huge success!
To kick off the weekend, Jessika V worked with Flight Crew Alumni member Christie A to organize a brunch in the city for Saturday. The food was wonderful and we got to snap some great photos on the roof deck. It was great to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.
The most important part of the weekend was definitely the game, and Sunday proved to be just as exciting as we expected. The Alumni were all able to join us on the field for our pregame rehearsal, where we performed our pregame routine and 4 quarter-change dances. These women have been in our shoes and know what it takes, so it definitely helped us to amp up the energy knowing they were watching so closely!
One of the best parts of the day for the current cheerleaders came at the end of the rehearsal. As a way to show our appreciation and excitement to see the Alumni, each woman was presented with a small gift. There was everything from blankets to picture frames to coffee mugs, and it was our way of saying thank you for putting in the work before us and for coming back to share the day.
All of the ladies sat together to watch the game, and we were so happy to have them there cheering us on. It is because of their hard work and dedication to the team that we are able to keep doing what we love. I feel blessed to be a part of this organization and to be able to call all of these smart, beautiful and talented ladies my Flight Crew Family — and know that when it is my time to join the Alumni, I'll still have this special bond with everyone.
—Cheers!
