Hi, Jets Fans! It's almost spring and that means warm weather and sunshine! Springtime always motivates me to come up with new ideas, try new things, and work on accomplishing new goals.
I recently read a quote from Walt Disney that I loved — "If you can dream it, you can do it." As a little girl my biggest dream was to dance as a professional ballerina. I was fortunate enough to pursue and eventually fulfill that dream. I performed with Texas Ballet Theater, a professional ballet company in Texas, prior to auditioning for the Flight Crew.
After dancing with the company for six years, I decided it was time to move on to the next step in my career. It took me a bit but I eventually realized I had to set new goals and dreams for myself. At this time last year, I decided to try to fulfill a new dream, cheering for an NFL team. The thought of auditioning and actually cheering for an NFL team was a dream I didn't think was possible for a "bunhead" like me. But with hard work and determination, this ballerina was lucky enough to make the team and cheer on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.
Throughout life, you may accomplish your dreams or your dreams may change. I was told once that it's all right to set new goals and new dreams for yourself. When I left the ballet company, I felt as if my only dream had already been accomplished and I didn't know what to do next in my life. Once I realized there was a whole world of opportunity waiting for me, I starting setting new goals and new dreams for myself.
No dream is too big or too crazy as long as you are determined, focused, have a good work ethic, and most importantly, believe in yourself.
If you're thinking of auditioning for the Flight Crew this year, trying out for a sports team, or applying for a new job, do it!!! No dream or goal is too big. Like Walt said, "If you can dream it, you can do it!!!"
Cheers to all the dreamers!
