The Jets have activated KGreg Zuerlein from injured reserve and elevated DLBruce Hector from the practice squad to the active roster.
Zuerlein (6-0, 187) was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 30 and returned to practice Dec. 20. He has kicked in eight games this season and made 60% of his field-goal attempts (9 of 15) and 93% of his extra points (13 -of- 14). Last season, he appeared in 16 games, making 92.1% of his FGA (35 of 38) while converting on 5-of-6 kicks from 50-plus yards.
Hector (6-2, 296) initially signed with the Jets' P-squad last December. He has played in four games this season and taken 67 snaps on defense while totaling 3 tackles. Before the Jets, Hector played with the Arlington Renegades of the XFL. He also played in three games for the Lions in 2022 and had 5 tackles on 52 snaps. He first signed with the Eagles in 2018 as an undrafted free agent out of South Florida and has had stints with the Cardinals (2019), Panthers (2020) and Titans (2021). Hector has played in 16 career games (1 start) and has 11 tackles, 0.5 sacks and 2 QB hits.
