The Jets have signed free agent edge Rashad Weaver.

After three seasons with the Tennessee Titans, Weaver, 27, last season was signed to the Houston Texans' practice squad on Sept. 2. He was elevated to the active roster on Sept. 11 and appeared in 3 games (14 snaps) for Houston before he was released on Oct. 22. He finished the season on the Rams' practice squad after signing with LA in mid-December.

Weaver was selected by the Titans in Round 4 (No. 135 overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft. After seeing some time in college as a defensive end at Pitt, Weaver appeared in two games his rookie season playing at inside linebacker before being placed on injured reserve in late September.

He had his best professional season in 2022 when he played in 16 games (4 starts) and made 27 tackles (18 solo), 7 TFL, 5.5 sacks, 6 passes defended, 2 FF and a fumble recovery. He shifted to OLB in 2023, playing in 15 games with 20 tackles (11 solo), 4 TFL and a pass defended.

After being waived by Tennessee in late August last year, he landed with the Texans' practice squad, was released and finished the season with the Rams.
