Happy New (League) Year!
Let's recap what's been a very busy week for the Green & White in free agency:
The re-signings got started late last week with CB Ellis Lankster, CB Darrin Walls and TE Jeff Cumberland. Then in free agency's opening hours, K Nick Folk, who had been assigned our franchise tag the week before, signed a multiyear deal.
Late the next night, it was announced that a pair of Super Bowl XLVIII starters had agreed to terms – T Breno Giacomini from the Seahawks and WR Eric Decker of the Broncos. Additionally, the Green & White re-signed DL Leger Douzable.
Of course, we've also lost a handful of players in the process. A pair of longtime Jets – CB Antonio Cromartie and WR Santonio Holmes – were released on Sunday andMonday, respectively. T Austin Howard signed with the Raiders and CB Isaiah Trufant with the Browns earlier this week as well.
