If it's possible to divert a sports fan's attention away from the opening weekend of March Madness, the New York Jets did just that early Friday evening with the announcements of Mark Sanchez's release and Michael Vick's signing.
"It means a lot to have the chance to come in and play for a great organization that had a lot of success last year and being on the brink of doing some good things," Vick said. "Maybe I can come here and be an asset whenever my number's called. I'm excited, I'm elated, and I feel like this is a great opportunity for me and my family."

The fact that my nieces and nephews know more about football, than most of my friends outside of football makes me proud. #futureaboushi — Oday Aboushi (@Oday_Aboushi75) March 19, 2014
