The New York Jets have claimed WR Aundrae Allison off waivers from Minnesota and waived WR Mario Urrutia. The announcement was made by Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

In his rookie season, he set a Vikings record with the longest play in team history, a 104-yard kickoff-return touchdown against Detroit on Dec. 2, 2007.

Allison spent two seasons at East Carolina University and left the school ranked second all-time with 145 receptions and third all-time with 1,732 receiving yards.

Urrutia (6'6", 232) signed with the Jets on June 26. He entered the NFL as a seventh-round selection (246th overall) by Cincinnati in the 2008 draft. He was waived Aug. 30 and signed the next day to the Bengals' practice squad, where he spent the entire season.

During his college career at Louisville, Urrutia tallied 130 receptions for 2,271 yards and 16 touchdowns.
