The New York Jets have activated LB Matt Chatham from the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list to the active roster. The announcement was made by Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Chatham (6'4", 250) signed with the Jets as an unrestricted free agent on March 21, 2006 after spending six seasons with New England, where he won three Super Bowls. In 2006, he recorded 19 total tackles (10 solos) and six special teams tackles.
The Sioux City, Iowa, native has posted 64 tackles (41 solos), three sacks, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown) and 68 special teams tackles in 82 career games (four starts).
