The New York Jets have signed free agent G Dennis Conley and waived QB Chris Pizzotti and WR Paul Raymond. The announcements were made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Conley (6'2", 300) was waived by the Bears on July 31 after being signed as an undrafted free agent on April 26. A two-time All-MEAC choice from Hampton, Conley played in 37 games, starting 30, as a left guard.
Pizzotti (6'5", 225), who signed as an undrafted free agent May 1, was a two-time All-Ivy League QB from Harvard who finished his collegiate career with 5,675 yards passing, 37 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
Raymond (5'10", 185) re-signed with the Jets on Jan. 23. He first joined the Jets as an undrafted free agent from Brown on May 2, 2008, was waived on Aug. 30 and then was signed to the practice squad Sept. 1. He was released Sept. 16, re-signed to the practice squad Sept. 24 and released again Sept. 29. He also spent time in 2008 on the practice squads of the Detroit Lions and New York Giants.
