The Jets have activated WR Allen Lazard and OL Wes Schweitzer from injured reserve and placed LB C.J. Mosley on IR. The Green & White also released OL Connor McGovern and elevated CB Kendall Sheffield from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Lazard (6-5, 227) returned to practice earlier this week after he sustained a chest injury against the Steelers. His 5 touchdowns are tied for the team lead and his 412 receiving yards rank second amongst Jets receivers. Lazard, who originally signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2018, played his first five NFL seasons with the Packers before he signed with the Green & White last year. He's played in 78 games (59 starts) over seven seasons and has totaled 222 catches, 2,959 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Schweitzer (6-4, 300) returned to practice Wednesday after he sustained a hand injury in practice early in the season. He signed with the Green & White in 2023 and played in six games last season (two starts), taking 149 snaps on offense and 18 on special teams as he battled injuries and ended his season on injured reserve. Schweitzer, who was drafted by the Falcons in the sixth round in 2016 out of San Jose State, played three seasons with Atlanta before he signed with Washington in 2020.

Mosley (6-2, 231) appeared in four games this season, starting three and finished with 17 tackles. He injured his neck prior to the team's Week 8 game against the Patriots. After the Jets' Week 12 bye, Mosley returned to practice last week but was inactive for a seventh time against the Seahawks. Mosley, in his 11th NFL season and fifth with the Jets, played in all 17 games each of the past two seasons and racked up more than 150 tackles in each. He sustained a toe injury against the Titans in Week 2 and then missed three games before returning to action against the Bills and Steelers in Weeks 6-7.

McGovern (6-4, 306), who was claimed off waivers by the Jets last month, joined the practice squad on Sep. 11. He was signed to the Saints active roster Oct. 4 and played in six games for New Orleans (369 snaps) before he was waived Nov. 11. He played in seven games for the Green & White last season before he was placed on injured reserve Oct. 31. Originally a fifth-round pick of the Broncos in 2017 out of Missouri, McGovern started all 55 games he played in for the Jets over the previous four seasons after he spent his first three seasons in Denver.

Sheffield (5-10, 212), a fourth-round pick of the Falcons (No. 111 overall) in the 2019 NFL Draft, spent training camp with the Jets before he was cut and signed to the practice squad. He appeared in 38 games (20 starts) for the Falcons from 2019-21 and registered 101 tackles, 6 PDs and 2 FF. Sheffield had short stints on the 49ers and Titans practice squads last season. The former Ohio State Buckeye has been elevated for two games this season and has taken 59 snaps (42 on defense, 17 on special teams).
