The Jets have activated SChuck Clark and elevated K Anders Carlson form the practice squad. The Green & White also released OL Alec Lindstrom.
Clark (6-0, 209) was placed on injured reserve Oct. 15 with an ankle injury. He has 32 tackles,1pass defense, 1 forced fumble and a fumble recovery on 334 snaps this season, which was tied for the fourth-most among all Jets defenders when he was sidelined. Originally drafted by the Ravens in the sixth round in 2017 out of Virginia Tech, Clark played six seasons with Baltimore and totaled 384 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 32 pass defenses, 5 forced fumbles and 5 interceptions before he joined the Green & White via trade in March 2023.
Carlson (6-5, 219), an Auburn product who was a sixth-round pick (No. 207) of the Packers in 2023, signed with the Jets' practice squad on Nov. 7. As a rookie, he made 81% of his field goal attempts and 87% of his extra points. After his release from the Packers on Aug. 27, Carlson signed with the 49ers' practice squad on Oct. 15 and was added to the active roster for two games before being released on Nov. 5. In the two starts, he connected on all 5 of his field goal attempts, including a 55-yarder against the Chiefs, and 3 of 4 extra points. He kicked for five seasons at Auburn and connected on 72% of his field goal attempts and 98% of his extra points.
Lindstrom (6-3, 300) was signed to the Jets' active roster on Oct. 31. He signed with the Cowboys in 2022 as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College and spent his rookie season on Dallas' practice squad until he was placed on the P-squad/injured list that November. Lindstrom signed with the UFL's Memphis Showboats in January 2024 and had a stint in training camp with the Rams. He is the younger brother of Falcons two-time Pro Bowl OL Chris Lindstrom.
