Jets Sign S Jaylen Key, OL Alec Lindstrom to Practice Squad

Key Was ‘Mr. Irrelevant’ in 2024 NFL Draft; Lindstrom’s Brother is a Pro Bowl OL for Falcons

The Jets have signed S Jaylen Key and OL Alec Lindstrom to the practice squad.

Key (6-0, 208), the last pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, totaled 11 tackles in three preseason games before he was released and signed to the Green & White's practice squad before he was release from the P-squad Sept. 24. He spent five seasons at Alabama-Birmingham before transferring to Alabama for the 2023 season.

Lindstrom (6-3, 300) signed with the Cowboys in 2022 as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College. He spent his rookie season on Dallas' practice squad until he was placed on the P-squad/injured list that November. Lindstrom signed with the UFL's Memphis Showboats in January 2024 and had a stint in training camp with the Rams. He is the younger brother of Falcons two-time Pro Bowl OL Chris Lindstrom.
