The Jets have signed OL Kohl Levao and released OL Vitaliy Gurman.
Levao (6-5, 324) most recently played for the San Antonio Brahmas of the USFL. He played both guard spots for the Brahmas after lining up at center and guard for the University of Hawaii. Levao, who allowed one sack in 2021 and was an All-Mountain West honorable mention, posted a pass protection success rate of 97%. Born in America Samoa, Levao has experience at LG, C, RG and RT. He went to Aberdeen high school in Washington before two seasons at City College of San Francisco where he played tackle.
Gurman (6-3, 305) signed with the Jets' practice squad during the final week of the 2023 regular season. An undrafted free agent out of Toledo, he began his career with the Raiders in 2023. He was part of the Raiders final cuts and signed to Las Vegas' practice squad. Gurman spent a majority of 2023 on the Cardinals' practice squad before joining the Green & White. Gurman started his collegiate career at Edinboro University where he appeared in 32 games, mostly at center, and was named first-team All-PSAC in 2019. In two seasons at Toledo (2020-'21), he started 11 games at left tackle and 7 at left guard.
