The Jets have traded undrafted rookie cornerback and punt/kick returner Brandon Codrington and New York's 2026 seventh-round draft pick to the Bills for Buffalo's 2026 sixth-round pick.

With the swap of late-round picks the Jets currently have three sixth-round selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, including their own, Buffalo's and Denver's, which was acquired in a trade for DL John Franklin-Myers earlier this offseason.

Codrington (5-7, 176) signed with Jets as an UDFA undrafted free agent in May and played 76 snaps on defense during the preseason. In addition, he returned 6 punts and 2 kickoffs ,including a 31-yard punt return that set up a touchdown against the Panthers. He spent four seasons at Louisiana Monroe before transferring to Houston Christian for his final seasons of eligibility.
