Mulligan Signed to Practice Squad

The New York Jets have signed tight end Matthew Mulligan to the practice squad. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Mulligan (6'4", 270) was waived by the Jets on Sept. 23, after being claimed off waivers from Tennessee on Sept. 6. He signed with the Titans practice squad on Nov. 19, 2008. Mulligan entered the NFL with Miami as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2008, and spent the first nine weeks of the 2008 season on the Dolphins' practice squad before being released. In two seasons at Maine, he recorded 23 receptions for 268 yards and two touchdowns.
