No More Hang Time: Pakulak Waived

The New York Jets have waived punter Glenn Pakulak. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Pakulak (6'3", 220) was awarded on waivers to the Jets from New Orleans on Aug. 28. He signed with the Saints on Oct. 29, 2008, averaged 47.7 yards per punt in the last eight games of the season, and punted for the Saints this preseason before being waived on Aug. 27.

He was a member of Oakland's practice squad in 2008 and spent the 2008 off-season with the Chicago Bears. In 2006-07, he played for the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe. He was allocated to NFLE by Oakland in 2006 and Tennessee in 2007.

Pakulak did not play in the NFL in 2005 and originally entered the league with Seattle as an undrafted free agent in May 2003. He also has had brief stints with Atlanta (2004) and Pittsburgh (2003).
