The New York Jets have signed offensive tackle Dan Gay to the practice squad. The announcement was made by Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Gay (6'4", /303) was signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Diego Chargers on May 1 before being waived on Aug. 31. He started 34 games on the offensive line at Baylor, where he helped the Bears rush for 2,349 yards and 29 touchdowns in his senior season.
Gay will wear uniform No. 71 with the Jets.
