The New York Jets have waived wide receiver David Clowney. The announcement was made by Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Clowney (6'0", 188) was signed to the Jets' active roster Oct. 3 and was inactive for three games. He was selected by Green Bay out of Virginia Tech in the fifth round (157th overall) of the 2007 draft. He was waived by the Packers on Sept. 1 and then signed to their practice squad on Sept. 4.
