Throughout the season, NewYorkJets.com will provide a Stock Report focusing on the Jets' upcoming matchup.

This week's report features players and/or themes that are trending before the Green & White take on the Rams at MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

šŸ“ˆ Jets Passing Offense
Aaron Rodgers and the offense have been hot over the last two weeks.

The Jets, who rank No. 24 in total offense this season averaging 307 yards per game, have the NFL's No. 6 overall offense (401 yds/g) and No. 4 passing offense (297 yds/g) in Weeks 14 and 15.

Rodgers' 628 passing yards in that span rank No. 4 and his 111.3 passer rating No. 9. He's has thrown 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions over the last two games and has a 13-to-1 TD-to-INT ratio over his last 7 games, which is the third-best mark in the league.

"Especially these last two weeks just from an offensive perspective, we are starting to really catch a stride and part of that is the health of Aaron, but I think part of that is [playcaller] Todd [Downing] getting more comfortable in this role," interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said on Wednesday. "I know he's been an offensive coordinator in this league and I know he's called a lot of games, but to get that thrown on you midseason, it can be challenging. I definitely feel him the last couple weeks getting into a groove."

šŸ“ˆ Rams QB Matthew Stafford
Aaron Rodgers has been red hot, but so has Rams QB Matthew Stafford, Rodgers' former NFC North rival when Stafford was with the Lions. Since Week 8, Stafford is 6-2, has a 16-to-3 TD-to-INT ratio and a 104.6 passer rating. His 57 completions to WR Puka Nacua in that span ranks No. 2 in the NFL.

"Matt's one of my all-time favorite competitors to go against," Rodgers said on "The Pat McAfee Show." "A lot of fun battles over the years, a lot of respect for him. Plays the game in a way I totally respect. He's as tough as they come. He's savvy, he's smart, he's gritty, he's competitive. I've always been a big Matt Stafford fan. I'm excited to see him."

Jeff Ulbrich added: "His accuracy, his ability to extend plays, especially when things break down, he is that rare guy that he can go into that mode of high efficiency and just walk you down the field, take what you give him and then at the same time, the explosive is always a threat because his elite accuracy and understanding of coverage. And then the receivers get open, so it's going to be maybe our greatest challenge of the year from that standpoint from a pass-game perspective."

šŸ“ˆ Rams' Use of Pre-Snap Motion
The Rams lead the NFL in pre-snap motion (83.6%) this season, the highest percentage head coach Sean McVay has used since he was hired in 2017. The team has increased its motion use usage in each season since '19.

WR Puka Nacua, who leads the team with 805 receiving yards, went into motion on 48% of his snaps (second-highest rate of his career) last week against the 49ers and has 443 yards off motion this season. That's the third most by any player in the league since 2018.

"It's two, if not three, motions every single snap," IHC Jeff Ulbrich said. "There's No. 1: trying to undress your coverage and trying to get information for the quarterback. No. 2: trying to create confusion amongst us, make us communicate and you got a quarterback that can listen to our communication and take advantage of that. Then No. 3: when you say, 'OK, we got to play man,' They're going to make you chase all over the field.

"So they're trying to take advantage of the fatigue factor as well. Motion has three really valuable reasons to utilize it."

šŸ“‰ Jets Run Game
The Green & White's leading rusher in Week 15's game against the Jaguars was QB Aaron Rodgers with 45 yards, 15 short of his career high. Running backs Breece Hall, Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis combined for 16 carries, 59 yards (3.7 avg) and 1 touchdown.

Los Angeles allowed 63 rushing yards last week against the 49ers, but has yielded an average of 135.4 yards on the ground throughout the season, which ranks No. 28 in the NFL.
