Throughout the season, NewYorkJets.com will provide a Stock Report focusing on the Jets' upcoming matchup.
This week's report features players and/or themes that are trending before the Green & White take on the Colts at MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
📈 Jets WR Garrett Wilson
The Jets are coming off a game without scoring a touchdown, but WR Garrett Wilson, who had a team-leading 41 receiving yards on 5 catches against the Cardinals, continues to be productive and Aaron Rodgers' go-to target.
Wilson leads the Jets and ranks No. 2 in the NFL with 65 receptions, trailing Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase by 1. Wilson's 65 receptions are the most in Jets franchise history through the first 10 games.
The No. 10 overall pick in 2022 has at least 5 catches in eight consecutive games, which is the longest streak in the NFL the second longest in franchise history. Laveranues Coles had 13 straight games with at least 5 receptions in 2002.
📈 Colts RB Jonathan Taylor
Colts RB Jonathan Taylor is coming off his most productive game of the season with a season-high 114 yards against the Bills.
Taylor ranks No. 4 in the NFL with 88 rushing yards per game and will line up against a Jets run defense that let up 147 yards to the Cardinals. Taylor may benefit with dual-threat QB Anthony Richardson back under center for Indy as the Colts average 140.8 rushing yards per game on the ground with Richardson in the lineup compared to 92 with Joe Flacco.
Richardson, the No. 4 overall pick in 2023, has 242 rushing yards and 1 touchdown on the ground this season.
"He's a great running back," LB Quincy Williams said of Taylor. "Probably one of the best running backs we've faced other than training camp with Breece. … The biggest thing I've seen, he's a cutback runner just finishing. He's a big finisher as far as after contact, running his feet and stuff. So I've just been asking the practice squad running backs to manipulate that, so I can practice it all throughout the week. Then on game day it's not something I'm I didn't prepare for."
📉 Colts WR Josh Downs
Colts WR Josh Downs has more production this season with Joe Flacco under center than Anthony Richardson, who was named Indianapolis' starter for the rest of the season on Wednesday.
Downs, a third-round pick out of North Carolina in 2023, ranked No. 3 in the NFL in receptions (37) and No. 4 (22) in first downs in weeks that Flacco has played. His 49 targets are tied for the fourth most. Downs did not play the first two weeks of the season with Richardson, but in three games together, the second-year wideout has 8 receptions, 134 yards and 1 TD.
📉 Jets Tackling
The Jets missed 20 tackles in Week 10 against the Cardinals, which tied for the most by any team in a game this season. The missed tackles allowed Arizona to gain 91 extra yards on the ground as RB James Conner paced the team with 6. Five other Cardinals ballcarriers forced multiple missed tackles.
Interim HC Jeff Ulbrich gave the team a tackling presentation and tweaked the practice schedule to where the team worked on tackling in pads for nearly all of the 15-minute individual period Wednesday.
"The drills went great," LB Quincy Williams said. "Each core had their type of tackler, so DBs mostly have those gator-roll tackle, D-linemen have gator rolls. Really just breaking down in your position group, what is like your life tackle? Like linebackers are face-up tackles or like an angle-tracking tackle."
